Aurigny claims to lost £1.4m on Alderney routes

Posted Tue 11th October 2016 at 10:47

Aurigny will lose £1.4m on the Alderney routes this year, according to the Guernsey budget - and Alderney needs to consider the "funding arrangements" that might help meet the losses in future.

News of the shortfall came in a summary of Aurigny's worsening balance sheet in the Guernsey Budget Report.

Last year Aurigny's overall deficit was £2.55m; this year the figure is expected to climb to £4.6m. The annual deficit between 2017-2019 is expected to come in at £4m-£5m.
