Curtain goes up on panto

Posted Fri 26th January 2018 at 13:17

Alderney's panto is a sell-out this year - and those who bought tickets for any of its three shows won't be disappointed.

The Lee Flewitt-penned production, Beauty and the Beasts - described as a "mash up between Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast - bristles with energy, music and more local gags than you could shake a magic wand at.

Each scene is stuffed with one liners about beloved institutions like the States, Guernsey government, Aurigny, local businesses and personalities - all the features that make a home-grown panto such a uniquely local affair.
